Are my supplies covered by Medicare?

YES! If you take insulin, Medicare will cover the cost of test strips, lancets, lancing devices and a new glucometer once every three years. Good news for those who don't take insulin, beginning July 1st, 1998 your supplies will also be covered.

Are my supplies covered by private insurance companies?

Call Diabetes PLUS and we will verify your insurance coverage and let you know what your options are. We will do this at no cost to you.

How do I file my insurance claims?

You don't have to. Diabetes PLUS will handle all your insurance forms and will arrange for your doctor's prescription to be sent directly to us.

How do I receive my supplies when I place an order?

Diabetes PLUS will ship your order directly to your home or office at no charge. (minimum $100.00 US orders) Orders are shipped within 24 hours of your call by U.S. 1st class mail. (excludes special orders)

Do I have to call each month for my order?

No! You can take advantage of Diabetes PLUS hassle free auto order program. Each month we will ship your order automatically to you.

When do I need to replace batteries in my glucometer?

All glucometers have an indicator that will let you know when it's time to replace the batteries. Our trained staff are available to help you determine when the time is right.

Diabetes PLUS is a family owned Michigan based corporation. The president Robert Gielniak has diabetes. Diabetes PLUS has been in the healthcare field since 1981. We specialize in diabetes products, because from a personal standpoint, we use what we sell.
